In this interview, Silke shares what attracted her to Actum, where she sees the biggest opportunities for clients in Germany, and why trust, clarity, and practical digital execution are essential for turning ambition into measurable business value.

What attracted you to this new chapter at ACTUM Digital, and what excites you most about helping shape Actum’s presence in the German market?

What attracted me to Actum was the opportunity to connect strategic account leadership more directly with digital expertise. Moving closer to this field was a deliberate step, because I see enormous potential in helping businesses translate digital ambition into practical results.

At the same time, staying close to clients and their needs remains central to how I work. What excites me most is the opportunity to contribute to Actum’s growth in Germany by building strong partnerships, understanding what matters most to clients, and making sure their priorities stay at the center of every conversation.

You have extensive experience working with strategic clients. What is the key to building long-term client relationships?

For me, long-term client relationships are built on trust, and trust is created through consistency. It starts with listening carefully, understanding what sits behind a question, and being reliable in both everyday situations and more complex moments.

Over time, that creates a different kind of relationship. Clients are not only looking for answers, they are looking for a partner who understands their business, challenges their thinking when needed, and works with them to find the right way forward.

Where do you see the biggest opportunities for ACTUM Digital to create value for clients in Germany?

One of the biggest opportunities lies in closing the gap between digital ambition and practical application. This is especially visible in the area of AI, where many organizations are eager to move forward but are still looking for ways to make new capabilities work in a meaningful business context.

Many companies already have access to large amounts of data, but they often struggle to turn that data into something actionable. Actum can create real value by helping clients bridge that gap and by making digital capabilities relevant, usable, and effective in day-to-day business.

A big part of your background is data integration and analysis. How can that help clients grow and make better decisions?

When companies have structured access to their data and know how to interpret it, they are in a much stronger position to make decisions. Good data creates clarity, improves speed, and helps organizations act with greater confidence.

At the same time, the real value does not come from data alone. It comes from making data usable in a business context, connecting it to concrete goals, and turning it into something that supports growth, efficiency, and better decision-making across the organization.

One of your key roles is connecting business needs with Actum’s digital expertise. How do you turn complex client challenges into practical digital solutions?

It always starts with understanding what truly sits behind a client’s question. That means looking beyond the surface, identifying the underlying business need, and understanding the broader context in which the challenge exists.

Many issues seem complex at first, but they become much clearer once you break them down. From there, the focus is on bringing together the right digital expertise and shaping solutions that are not only technically strong, but also practical, relevant, and effective in the client’s everyday business.

You are known for building and using strong professional networks. How important are personal connections and industry relationships when growing business in a market like Germany?

Personal connections are extremely important because they create the foundation for open and productive exchange. When there is already a level of trust, conversations tend to move faster, become more direct, and lead to better outcomes.

In a market like Germany, relationships matter because they help build credibility over time. Strong networks do not replace expertise, but they make it easier to connect the right people, share ideas openly, and create momentum around the right opportunities.
