What is the Java Team Lead’s role and responsibility?

As a Java Team Lead you will be responsible for providing sustainably outstanding contribution of Java Team Members to the projects of BU Omega.

• Definition and execution of the Java Team vision aligned to the visions of BU Omega and ACTUM Digital,
• Selection and leadership of the Java Team Members,
• Motivating team and supports personal development of skills and experience
• Performance management of the Java Team including own contribution,
• Testing, selection and introduction of new processes and tools,
• Alignment of the Java function with other business units at ACTUM Digital,
• Active building of network of contacts, partnerships, alliances, and general contribution to global visibility of ACTUM Digital in the Java world

Expected experience:

• 5+ years in java development
• Experience with Java 8+ in Spring, ideally 3+ years (Hybris is based on Spring)
• Additionally: Docker, SQL (SQL Server, Azure), JSP, Maven or Ant
• Experience with testing

It is a big advantage if you have:

• Experience with leading a team
• Experience with agile methodologies
• Any experience with SAP Commerce (aka Hybris) - if not we will give you a training from
• SAP and the team will help you too
• General knowledge of DevOps processes, CI (GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• Any testing and/or development related certification
